What to Pack
MUST HAVE ITEMS
A quick Google search will return a ton of posts about what you need for a typical trackday. Recommended lists cover items for the casual first-timer to the regular track rider. We are providing this list as guide. A lot of the things you need will be available from others that attend. Use your own discretion, but there are a few Must-Haves that should be on your list. You will be surprised that we need to remind people about some of these, but they have been forgotten and it could end your weekend.
--- Don't forget this stuff ---
Leathers
Gloves
Keys (Bike, Trailer, Padlocks)
Boots
Helmet
Bike!
Cash/Credit Card
Specialty Tools for Your Bike
Everything Else
Tool box with the basics you need for your bike, that should be enough.
Spares. (Levers, Clip Ons, Shifters, Pegs)
Prescription Meds
EZ Up tent. Shade is your friend, but there will be people who will share theirs
Folding Chairs. You WILL want to sit.
A small folding table
Beer for the event organizer...probably should be a "Must Have" :-)
Painters tape to mask off mirrors and headlight.
Zip Ties
Painter's Tape (to cover lights and mirrors)
You can bring a cooler with water and such, but I will provide enough bottled water and Gatorade for the entire group to drink on Friday and Saturday.
Aspirin or Advil. I try to remember to pop a few Advil before the day starts to help with aches and pains later.
Sunscreen / Bug Spray. I don't tend to get bitten much, but Jennings is in Florida and out in the country.
A tire change or chain adjustment is probably the most common wrenching done on a bike. As stated...have tools ready for that.
After the issues I had with the Aprilia popping fuses, I plan to bring a handful of those as well. So if your bike has an intermittent nagging little issue that you know how to patch, then bring the supplies needed to do it, because Murphy's law will be in play.
Electronics, batteries, chargers, cords. Make sure you have these for your cell phone, camera, etc.
